Emergency management simulation

Commitment to safety is not a game.

Crisis Response Leader Training is an Indiana company that prepares schools, public safety agencies, government, and companies with realistic incident simulations and consulting — before the crisis, not during it.

The problem

A written plan is not the same as a team that has practiced.

When an incident moves faster than the org chart, coordination fails. CRLT exists for that gap: decision-making, shared roles, and repetition that live exercises rarely allow.

01

Pressure changes the call.

Leaders need practice making time-critical decisions. A binder does not create that experience. A simulation does.

02

Agencies train apart.

Law enforcement, fire, emergency management, public health, schools, and company teams each know their own piece. They need a place to practice as one system.

03

Live drills do not scale.

CRLT’s platform is meant as a cost-efficient alternative to conventional exercises: repeatable, cloud-accessible, and reviewable without the risk of a live drill.

The solution

The Incident. Practice the whole response.

The Incident is CRLT’s flagship simulation. It gives businesses, schools, and first responders adaptable scenarios — including active assailant events, hazardous materials, and other emergencies — so people can improve decisions and coordination when the stakes are real.

  • Consequence management. Training aimed at reducing the harm a crisis does to a community, not only the tactics of the first minutes.
  • One platform. Planning, execution, and assessment in the same system — described by CRLT as end-to-end training across the phases of emergency response.
  • Serious play. The depth of a tabletop exercise, built on a video-game engine, grounded in real-world case studies.

How it works

Set the scene. Decide. Review.

The same rhythm shows up across CRLT’s school, public safety, government, and corporate programs.

01

Shape the scenario.

Scenarios are tailored to the site and the threat: a school, a chemical facility, a regional disaster, a public-health surge. Teams train together instead of from separate slide decks.

02

Run the incident.

Participants make decisions in real time. CRLT describes hybrid AI that adjusts the incident, including simulations that can represent very large numbers of people and conditions.

03

Read the after-action.

Debriefs and analytics cover response time, communication, and whether procedures were followed — so the next session starts from evidence, not memory.
