Education
K-12 readiness that can be repeated.
- Custom scenarios
- Staff and responders
- After-action review
CRLT’s K-12 platform uses incident simulations so school personnel and responders can train together. Scenarios can be aimed at the threats a campus actually faces, including severe weather, hazardous materials, and active assailant events. Sessions are meant to fit into the school routine, with evaluations after the exercise.
In partnership with academic institutions focused on educational safety, CRLT has produced modules on lockdown, SRO immediate actions, risk assessment planning, and reunification. Those modules are designed to be completed in about 30 minutes and shared with employees and interested community members.
A published K-12 use case describes quarterly or biannual simulations, joint exercises with law enforcement, fire, and EMS, and data-driven reviews of response time, decisions under stress, and communication.
